Independent Johan Mohd Diah withdraws his candidacy
PETALING JAYA: Independent candidate for the Hulu Selangor by-election Johan Mohd Diah has withdrawn his candidacy, according to Election Commission deputy chairman Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar.
Very much earlier today, the other independent candidate, V. S. Chandran, had also withdrawn his candidacy. What a big joke! These two men are actually UMNO and MIC members respectively. Obviously they could not even stand the heat and pressure by their respective parties for more than two days. Shameful indeed!!!
Now the stage for the April 25th by-election is all set for a straight fight. It would be between BN's candidate, P. Kamalanathan and PKR's (vis-a- vis Pakatan Rakyat's) candidate Datuk Zaid Ibrahim.
